temperatures will be nice though the days are shorter. >> thank you. on to the coverage of sandy. new jersey's governor said the jersey shore he knew and loved may be a thing of the past. there is to much damage and rebuilding it back to the way it was may set it up for another disaster. many gas stations were forced to close. officials are running out of fuel to keep generators running. >>> this is new video out of new york city showing the thousands of people lined up to use buses. the line wraps around the new barkley center in brooklyn where tonight's scheduled opening basketball game was postponed because of sandy. the subway system that carries 5.2 million a day has only partly reopened but only north of 34th street because tunnels are still flooded. as a result there is been heavy car traffic coming in and in order to encourage people to use mass transit instead of trying to drive the governor has ordered all public transit to be free today. >> wow. bellevue hospital just finished evacuating. theynational guard troops lined the stair wells helping carry out people. some went down mo

:11. one week after sandy why east coast residents have to evacuate again. and the extreme measures being taken to make sure people dealing with sandy's aftermath can get out and vote. >> a controversial idea what california state university isproposing that made the students just furious. >>> lots of sunshine and it will be nice but not as warm as yesterday but way above average on temps and big changes start tomorrow. but maybe one more day of a couple record highs. >> thank you, steve. >>> one week after sandy devastated many seaside towns in new jersey, some people are being told to evacuate again. the office of emergency management is ordered people living in low lying areas in brick township new jersey to evacuate ahead of an approaching nor'easter. the town is expected to see more than an inch of rain and wind gusts up to 55 miles per hour during the storm. that alone is not unusual. but it could create a storm surge and add to the flooding. >>> turnout for the election has been heavy even in locations that saw heavy damage from super storm sandy. here you can see people long lines
